Classroom Management Course to Become an Able Educator

As a teacher plans her lessons for her class, her primary aim is to make the maximum use of her time spent in the class to the utmost benefit of the students wherein she would be able to manage to create a positive impact in their lives and help them realize their potentials, as well. However, this can only be achieved through proper Classroom Management techniques and strategies applied by the teacher in her class.
By the term classroom management, one might be compelled to think that it involves only a set of discipline rules set by the teacher. However, there is more to it. Classroom organization, teacher-student relationship/rapport, teacher awareness, student attitude and responding patterns are also some of the factors that involve classroom management.
The efforts of the teacher to have a co-operative and relaxed atmosphere so that students find themselves enjoying the learning process in the classroom are also a one of the aspects of classroom management.
Broadly speaking, there are two main categories of classroom management:
•    steps to be taken to prevent occurrence of problems in class, and
•    Steps to be taken on occurrence of the problem in the class.
Once the above points get clear and properly communicated, the effectiveness of the classes is never a point of concern for the teachers anymore.
Students are of several types – some of them might have attention problems, some might be introverts, some hostile and over-sensitive, hence teachers dealing with each type will be different.
The main objectives behind developing classroom management strategies are:
•    Controlling troublesome and disruptive behavior among students
•    More effective teaching time
Can we say why Classroom Management is such an important part in a teaching-learning process?
Having a classroom management plan consisting of the routines, rules and directives for students is necessary in several ways.
Classroom Management involves a set of rules and policies which if issued by the teacher in the beginning of the class session will certainly help the teacher in maintaining classroom discipline and proper functioning of the class as the students become well aware of these rules in the very beginning. Also the consequences of breaking those rules should be conveyed to the students, so that they know that they might be punished for not complying by the rules. Besides, clear rules and the regulations for the learners save a good amount of valuable time for the teachers. Without a proper set of rules and directions, students are also lost and become refocused and may cause disruptions and disturbances during class hours.
The factors that involve classroom management are:
•    Preparing the lesson plan before taking up classes
•    Making the lessons interesting and captivating
•    Having a set of rules, regulations and expectations for the students
•    Maintaining the correct attitude (Having a nice and friendly demeanour and praising the students when they listen to the teachers and the lessons taught and at the same time act strictly when they do something that is not desirable in the classroom)
•    Communication and catering to the needs of the students that contributes to their overall development
•    Encouraging the students in their daily activities
Nonetheless, being adept at proper and efficient managing of classrooms can be possible by enrolling and pursuing a course on the same from a well reputed training institute will make the teachers become aware of the various different modern and innovative techniques and methods useful for managing the learners in the classrooms. Online mode of the course is a better and more viable option for both the experienced and aspiring teachers in the sense that they do not involve travelling and attending classes, can pursue the course from the comfort of their own space and also at their own convenient time and pace.
Classroom management courses touch upon the points of becoming a successful managers of classes wherein they can dedicate their total time in the class in grooming the learners and sharing knowledge with them rather than wasting their valuable time and energy behind disciplining the students and managing disruptive behaviour among them.
